Eileen & Rob have been partners in life and in yoga since 2006. We met when Rob attended one of Eileen's vinyasa classes back in 2003. The more we practiced together, the more we found how well suited to each other we were. One thing led to another, and we married in 2009. Life has been a rain of blessings ever since!

About Rob

Forearm stand padmasana

Rob's teaching

arises from two decades of practice and the endlessly inspiring wisdom of his teachers, especially Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and Sri Dharma Mittra.

Seated Twist

The path of Yoga

entered Rob's life in 2003 as he sought relief for lower back pain caused by a car accident. Asana quickly became a refuge and balm for the chaos that had become his outer life of work in private equity, venture capital and biotech. In 2005 he began teaching yoga at the request of other students. In 2007, Rob discovered the teachings of Tibetan Bön Buddhism and met his root teacher, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, with whom he has done more than 60 in-person retreats.

Rob’s classes are appropriate for anyone with an established yoga practice. His hatha yoga workshops tend to focus more on “advanced” postures such as arm balances, inversions, lotus pose, and bound postures. Rob draws on his personal experience of subtle anatomy to share the Tibetan yogic practices as he has learned them from Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche, Chaphur Rinpoche, Geshe Yangton, Lama Kalsang, Lama Yungdrung and especially Dr. Alejandro Chaoul.

By way of training, Rob completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Sri Dharma Mittra in 2007. He has completed 5-year, 3-year, and 3-month trainings in Tsa Lung Trul Khor, or Tibetan Yoga and has co-led trainings in A-Tri Trul Khor. In 2021 Rob undertook a traditional 49-day dark retreat, an intense meditative retreat conducted in total darkness.

A Rain of Blessings

“Rob’s teaching style is both relatable and accessible. He provides options for all students, regardless of where they are in their practice, and he weaves in an interplay of storytelling, humor, and intelligent sequencing. ”

A Rain of Blessings

“My participation for over a year in Rob's Sunday morning Zoom A-tri Trul Khor sessions added sublime depth of experience and insight into the nature of this practice. As the name implies, these movements are indeed " MAGICAL" and lead to a deeper perception of NAKED AWAKENED AWARENESS. Rob is an adept NAGPA. I can not recommend his program strongly enough. ”
